INTRODUCCIÓN
Las comunidades de aprendizaje han sido definidas de forma sintética como un “proyecto de transformación de centros educativos dirigido a la superación del fracaso escolar y la eliminación de conflictos” (Flecha y Puigvert, 2002, p.11)[1]. Desde esta conceptualización y a partir de una visión de los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje basada en la implicación comprometida de las familias y del entorno en la escuela y en las relaciones dialógicas y comunicativas como principio del aprendizaje, las comunidades de aprendizaje son un ejemplo paradigmático del diálogo entre la escuela y el entorno para promover el desarrollo de una cultura de paz. Por ese motivo, el seminario se plantea realizar una aproximación teórico-práctica a las comunidades de aprendizaje, entendidas como propuesta pedagógica para la mejora de la calidad de los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje y la transformación educativa y sociocultural del entorno inmediato.
